Phobia Project

a. What is a Phobia?
     - A Phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of aversion of something.

b. List and define 5 Phobias.
     - Automatonophobia is the fear of wax statues or ventriloquist dummies, anything falsely representing a sentient being.
     - Didaskeleinophobia is the fear of going to or attending school.
     - Pediophobia is the fear of dolls or small statues/figures resembling realistic sentient beings.
     - Philemaphobia or Philematophobia is the fear of kissing or other romantic physical contact.
     - Scriptophobia is the ear of being seen writing or writing in public.
     - Sciophobia or Sciaphobia is the fear of your own or another's shadow.

c. One shot I could do, from the given ones that I'd chosen from above, would be..
*Philemaphobia - I could have a couple about to kiss, but one of them is putting a hand in front of their lips in order to stop the contact of lips on lips. This photograph will probably be horizontal, and zoomed in so that you can only really see the hand and their lips. The background will be blurred out, and it will be maybe have a light coming from the back to make the situation look more dramatic.
*Scriptophobia - I'm not exactly sure who will be the model of this, but I want to have them writing while covering it up. The lighting, again, will probably be behind the subject, and this will also be horizontal. I'll probably focus on the subject and blur out the background.
*Sciophobia/Sciaphobia - I will probably have my little brother be the model for this one, seeing as this is a phobia he actually has. This photo, different from the last two, will be vertical. The background will probably be in focus, somewhat, as well.

d. I think a few photographic techniques that could be used in order to give the photo more depth or background, I could shoot Philemaphobia as a contrast photo, Scriptophobia as a leading lines photograph, and Sciophobia/Sciaphobia as a worm's eye view photograph.
